Cranford Raceway and Pitstop:

There seems to be some lightning off in the distance (or perhaps the crew was a bit too enthusiastic when they cleaned the track!) as some competitors line up at the start/finish line. Look closely and you may notice the wires that connect the terminal tracks to the lap counters behind Turn 5.

A Javelin just squeaks past in an El camino as the pack bunches up through Turn 3, a killer hairpin known as "The Equalizer". The excited crowd looks on. notice the hay-bale just in front of the GTO.

The infield pits are abuzz with activity, both during and after a hot race. (In the foreground is the Camaro we saw trailing in Turn 3).

The aerial view of C.R.A.P., as seen from the Goodyear blimp. The pits can be seen in the center of the picture. The start/finish line is on the front straight, just right of the pits. The "Equalizer" is the hard left-hander near the top-right of the photo. Notice banked Turns 7 and 8 just before reaching the start/finish.

The track map was created using John Keven Kemege's HOTRK program. Details, such as the title and turn numbers, were added by hand.
A Hot Lap: Try to beat the pack into Turn 1, a right-hand sweeper. Blip the throttle and tap the brake for another sweeper. Heavy on the throttle down the back straight then hard on the brakes just before Turn 3, a hairy left-hander called "The Equalizer". A quick blip to setup for Turn 4, but feather the throttle for the Turn 5 and 6 combo. Gun it down the short straight into banked Turns 7 and 8 (watch out for the dip!) and out onto the front straight to start it all again.
